PG
Dillon Barrow (SD) vs Mark Toe (ND). Barrow is a player that many feel should have some big upperclassmen years at Lincoln. How will he do against strong ball pressure? Mark Toe is one of the best ball pressure guards in the Midwest.
Wil Johnson (SD) vs Cody Robertson (ND). Johnson is one of the elite lead guards in South Dakota with a playmaking punch and we would love to see him against Robertson, one of the hardest working players you will ever see.
Carson Coulter (SD) vs Simon Higgason (ND). Coulter is another Lincoln lead guard. The match-up we would like to see? Competing against Higgason who competes with a football mentality.
SG
Ethan Friedel (SD) vs Brayden Uses Arrow (ND). Ethan and Brayden are two guys that had outstanding summers with their AAU clubs. Friedel is a contender for the Mr. Basketball award while Brayden has put himself on the college radar.
Mitchell Larson (ND) vs Noah Freidel (SD). A pair of 2019 standouts, both are considered either the top player in his class or one of the top two. Both are wings, both compete hard, both are skilled.
SF
Jordan Polynice (ND) vs Koln Oppold (SD). Jordan is the top prospect in the 2018 class in North Dakota while Koln is one of the top prospects in South Dakota’s junior class. Oppold can score in many ways, Polynice can play many positions.
Joey Messler (SD) vs Matt Thompson (ND). A versatile Messler can play three positions while Thompson is a worker who can play both forward spots.
Trevor Olson vs Dieng Gatlauk. A pair of South Dakota juniors that are different in their approach to the game but both have potential.
Frontcourt
Josh Kilhe (ND) vs John Chol (SD). Chol will be the longest player at the event so the Washington High School big should give the top post in North Dakota’s senior class a challenge.
Ty Setness (ND) vs Carter Kosiak (SD). The 6-foot-6 Setness is a Davies senior while Kosiak is a senior from O’Gorman and both are coming off strong summers of play that put them on the college radar.
***Next week we will run through each class of talent previewing who will be in attendance. The Top 250 Expo will rank the top 250 players nationally at each of the top three grades based on the 17 events that are going around the country throughout the fall.
