Preseason Player of Year
Quani Rudd (Mt. Vernon)
We are going to go with a breakout junior for the player of the year. Rudd is primed to explode this season as one of the top players in the 618. Athletic wing with the ability to score from multiple levels. Elevated his stock with the Southwest Jets this summer and gained a lot of confidence with his play in their fall league. On a loaded Mt. Vernon squad he should emerge as the go to guy.
Preseason Conference Favorite
The Mt. Vernon Rams come in as the clear favorite in the conference. They have a trio of seniors in Amir Spann, Simon Wilson, and Jackson Creel who will provide experience. Spann is coming off a serious injury, but should be good to go once the season gets into conference season. Wilson and Creel are floor spacers that complement their slashers. Junior Quani Rudd is a D1 prospect that is gearing up for a dominant breakout season.
