Austin Thompson 6’2″ MICDS: The athletic point guard did an excellent job defensively on the ball and creating turnovers. Thompson’s offensive game continues to emerge as he attacked the basket on the drive to get buckets while dropping dimes to open teammates. His mid-range game was on point and he made his share of 3-pointers when defenders backed off.
Landon Harrison 5’10” Helias: As usual, Landon was an energizer bunny at the point guard position. He loves to push the pace and probe the defense by attacking the basket. If the defense didn’t cut him off, he was getting all the way to the rim. Love the way he competes.
Koby Klaus 6’1″ Grandview: It was great to see the high-scoring guard back in action after missing the July evaluation period due to injury. Klaus is still getting back into shape, but strong will to get buckets has not been diminished one bit. He made a number of 3-pointers and he displayed the ability to get to the basket off several determined drives to the basket.
Desmond Morris 6’3″ Jackson: A long and lean wing player who did a nice job handling the ball and making perimeter jumpers. He displayed the ability to handle both backcourt positions quite well with his ball handling, decision making and good 3-point shooting.
Zach Niemeyer 5’10” Christian-O’Fallon: A young point guard who played with a lot of drive and energy. He took on defensive pressure head on as he looked to attack the basket at every opportunity. He finished well at the basket and he knocked down a number of jumpers while on the move.
