Schools are back in session in almost every district in the state. Along with the new school year come impact transfers. This summer saw some out of state players move in while others just moved from one district to the other for whatever reason. Here's a look at some of the more notable transfers and what possible impact they could have this year. They're presented in no particular order.

2020 Amirion Joyce, Paducah Tilghman --> Bourbon County - Joyce started his career at Frederick Douglass in Lexington then spent his Junior year at Paducah Tilghman before landing back in central Kentucky at Bourbon County in the spring time. Amirion had a tremendous spring and summer of AAU with Cky Magic and garnered D1 interest. He should be a difference maker for the Colonels and will be a contender for Player of the Year in the 10th region this season.

2020 Sebian Dillard, St. Xavier --> Henry Clay - Dillard was the best player and leading scorer for St. Xavier as a Junior but made the move to Lexington where he joins a loaded team that is ready to make a push to win the 11th region and get to Rupp Arena. Sebian could be the best running mate that Marques Warrick has had and they should be the favorites to win the region.

2020s Jared Courtney, Franklin County --> Woodford County and Rodrell Dryden, Dunbar-->Woodford County - Woodford County had a strong core returning already and they added two likely starter in Dryden and Courtney. Jared was a starting guard for Franklin County before his family built a new house in Woodford and Rodrell was a sometimes starter for Dunbar before making the move to play for Coach Jaron Brown and the Yellow Jackets.

2020s Jaylen Barber and Michael McKenzie, Scott County --> Great Crossing - Barber and McKenzie are two players going from reserve players at Scott County to starters at Great Crossing. Jaylen is massive and a great shot blocker and Michael can shoot it but would not have been able to co-exist with KJ Tucker at Scott County. Now McKenzie becomes the go to scorer for the Warhawks in their first season and Jaylen should be able to play through his mistakes and hopefully avoid foul trouble that plagues him so much.

2020 Cole Benson, Ryle -->Montgomery County - Benson is going to be a difference maker in the 10th region just because of his size but he will need to become a more impactful player to become a top 10 level player in a pretty strong region. Cole can shoot the ball at 6'9 but will have to do the majority of his damage on the block if he's going to get Montgomery back to the region (and possibly even further).

2020 Trent Findley, Male --> Seneca - A sleeper pick for most impactful transfer, Findley goes from a role player to the best player at Seneca. Known primarily as a defender for the Bulldogs, Trent will be a go-to scorer for Seneca. Trent was a standout at our 250 Expo earlier this month and will only continue to improve as he gets used to being a primary option on offense.

2020 Alex Schlach, Robertson County --> Mason County - Another one of the standouts at the 250 Expo, Schlach showed he can do more than just be a big body around the rim. Alex is highly skilled and is likely to be a go to scorer for a Mason County team that has been down in recent years and has been falling behind in the 10th region arms race. Schlach is going to be one of, if not the best post player in the region this season.
