Let's take a look at some prospects that coaches need to get on there radar that had huge Spring/Summer Grassroots Season.

Daylan Hamilton 6'3 SG / 2020 / Klein Forest HS [Team Harden] PHTX150

Daylan a.k.a. Twin, just came off of an second place finish for the UIL 6A State Championship season with Klein Forest. Daylan was on a team with two of the top 30 prospects in the State of the 2019 class. He shot the ball well from deep and showcased his bounce here and there during the high school season. Had solid on-ball defense as well. Although he played on a tough Team Harden 17U team, he had a great Spring/Summer for them. He was the second leading scorer for his team at the Adidas Championships where he averaged 9 points per game. He is an athletic two guard that can shoot the leather off the ball. Aggressive defender who is all over his man. He dunked on a lot of people this Spring/Summer, as he has got more bouncy over the summer. He opened a lot of coaches eyes this year and media members as well. I expect for him to continue this progress into the high school season. It's a mystery why he doesn't have any offers yet. Solid piece for any D1 Mid-Low Major University, would be a great get for any D2 program as well.

Joshua Cooper 6'1 PG / 2020 / North Shore [Basketball University] PHTX150 (as seen in the picture)

Joshua capitalized from the end of his season run by keeping the grease hot and fresh as he entered in the Spring Session of his Grassroots Season. Joshua is a down hill point that is aggressive on his attack. He is an ISO king and a nightmare for a defender who is stuck on the island with him. Reads mismatches well and quickly and takes advantage of the situation. Finishes at a super high rate around the rim despite the contact or bigger defender challenging him at the rim. His ability to create for his teammates has increased tremendously. He is a modern point who gets his teammates involved with an average of 6 assists per game. Could play at the D1 Low Major level, He is a definite no brainier for any D2 program looking for a PG. Would also be a valuable piece to a D3/NAIA/JuCo school.

Reggie Comeaux 6'5 SF / 2020 / Aldine Nimitz HS [North Houston Bandits] PHTX150

Reggie is an uber athletic wing in whom you don't want to be under or by the rim when he's attacking the lane. He springs up so quick and puts it down with authority every time. Has a great build for his position. His game may seem a little laid back with no effort given like a Paul Pierce type of game. Reggie is known around the Greater Houston area, but coaches got to see him play in July and have been in contact with me about him. The area that has grown the most in his game is his jump shot. As he is knocking down an outside jumper at a higher rate than before, it has truly opened up his game. He is physical enough to guard a 4 and quick enough to guard the 2 spot. This prospect will be a solid piece for any D1 Mid - Low Major / D2 /JuCo program.

Zechariah Selvage 5'10 PG / 2020 / Pro-Vision Academy [Katy Shooting Stars]

Zechariah was highly touted as a freshman in high school. As injuries plagued him his sophomore and early junior campaign, he came back with a vengeance for the Spring/Summer Grassroots season with the Katy Shooting Stars. A former sneaker kid that teams where skeptical about should of pulled the trigger and kept him for his final 17U year of hoop. This prospect is a speedy guard with a tight handle on the ball. Has bounce in his game and will dunk on you if your under the rim. Has a slender frame with quick lateral movement and quick hands when guarding the ball. What has really improved the most in his game is his all-around IQ. He knows where everyone is on the floor on both sides of the ball and who should be doing what. He picked up two D2 offers over this summer from Texas A&M Commerce & Pittsburgh State (KS). Solid D2 prospect that could play D1 Low Major ball.

Reece Peel 6'4 SG / 2020 / A&M Consolidated HS [Team Evolution]

This prospect was truly a hidden gem from everyone. He burst on to the scene and was a bucket from the jump. Reece plays high school ball for A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas. A 5A school that went 27-6 (11-3) and made it to the second round of the playoffs. He was the teams leading scorer and played the point for his High School team. When he transitioned to Spring/Summer ball season and was playing off the ball he was even more effective than he was for his High School team. Has deep range with great elevation on his jumper. Has a quick release of the ball. Has a solid frame that allows him to bully his way to the basket. Off ball movement was great all season long. He is a great fit for any D2 program looking for a big two guard that could guard the wing as well. Could fall to a D1 Low Major program as well. Would be a big get for any D3/NAIA prgram as well.
