Sam Richardson 6’5″ Arsenal Hoops 17U: The versatile 2020 wing from Hancock turned in a couple of nice performances in leading his team to two victories. He does a little bit of everything as he can knock down perimeter jumpers, rebound aggressively and play solid defense. He is also a good ball handler who can be a playmaker for others as well.
Tarris Reed, Jr. 6’8″ MoKan Elite 15U: The stud 2022 power forward from Chaminade scored 18 points in MoKan’s first victory in the 17U division. Playing two years up didn’t bother him as he powered his way to buckets in the paint and offensive rebounds. He also displayed his versatile skill set as he showcased moves off the dribble, nice turnaround jumpers on the baseline and 3-point range.
Colby Hale 6’0″ Missouri Mavericks Premiere 17U: It was my first look at this talented 2020 small school guard from NE Cairo and I was impressed with his ball handling and ability to create his own shot. He did a nice job of getting into space and hitting jumpers in the lane or layups in traffic. He also liked to have the ball in tight situations when the game is in the balance.
Joshua Mason 6’2″ Willpower 17U: A nice 2020 combo guard from Nixa who averaged 21 points in his team’s two games on the day. He is a very resourceful offensive player who make plays for himself and his teammates. His jumper from the perimeter is money and he can also create and get to the mid-range area. He also dropped some nice dimes to open teammates.
Brant Bowers 6’2″ Missouri Elite 17U: The 2020 sharpshooter from Rock Bridge continued his hot shooting during the month of July. In a victory over Willpower, he scored 22 points and made five 3-pointers, which is about the number he has been making in each game this month. Zone defenses beware when he is on the floor.
Nykohlas Bryant 6’1″ KC Premiere Blue Chips 16U: A slashing 2021 guard from Park Hill who scored a game-high 29 points in his team’s first game. He was simply too tough to handle when he got downhill with his strength and determination to get to the basket. He was also an excellent finisher at the rim who can get the ball up on the glass and a number of different angles.
