Thoughts On The Team: This EG10 team was the best they have had in quite some time and a lot of that was due to Romeo Langford. Although, this was quite a bit of high-end talent on the roster. They went 13-5 and went a perfect 4-0 in Atlanta at the second stop on the Gauntlet. As a group, they shot the ball really well. They went 34% from three and 42.5% from the field which is quite good. With that said, EG10 didn’t average a ton of points and they did turn the ball over quite a bit.
Overall, they had a pretty successful year. They got to the Sweet 16 of the Fab 48 Championship but lost to a tough Juice All-Stars program, a team they had beaten earlier in the season.
Top Performers: Romeo Langford & Sasha Stefanovic
Romeo Langford emerged this winter as a high-end prospect and since then he has become the #2 prospect for Scout.com in the 2018 class. Note that he was among the best players in the Adidas Gauntlet as an underclassmen. Romeo shot the ball very well hitting 32.4% from distance and averaged 20.6 points per game. His stock is as high as it can possibly get and all he did this Summer was prove he deserved to be one of the most coveted players in the country.
Sasha Stefanovic really broke out in the Spring with his play for EG10. He was a pretty well known name within the state but really impressed college coaches with his play. Sasha is such a big kid already at 6’4 but is constantly growing and could be a couple inches taller before he leaves high school. Sasha shot the ball really well from the field hitting 50 of 140 shots during the Gauntlet along with 32.0% of his three-pointers. The bonus was his rebounding and turnovers. He wasn’t a guy who was going to cost you opportunities but at the same time would gain you some on the boards.
