Daniels was all over the boards last night. At 6’2 you don’t expect a large rebounding threat. Buy stock now in his rebounding ability as a scrappy guard/forward. Playing a being football strong safety in the fall, gives him a physical edge on the boards
Noah Paulson, Duluth East (MN)
At 6’8, Paulson is a rebounding hulk on the boards. An incoming junior for the Greyhounds, he really showed his physicality on Friday against some élite competition and size from Team 12 who consisted of two 6’7 players themselves. Definitely on my Player to Watch list from Section 7AAAA and the class of 2021.
Akoi Akoi, Sioux Falls Gorman (SD)
Akoi has very long arms and was the most physical rebounder in the first game I saw on Friday. Also has a very long wingspan to not only grab rebounds but create turnovers as well. Plays for Sioux Falls Gorman, who’s ranked very highly in the Preseason South Dakota Basketball Poll for next year. A little more weight room strength next year and Akoi could be a promising D-1 prospect, as he now holds an offer from the University of Sioux Falls and strong interest from many other Minnesota D-2 programs.
Kendall Blue, East Ridge (MN)
Blue is a promising 2022 prospect that is a good rebounder that I believe will get plenty of offers here soon at the D-1 level. At 6’5 he has been a great threat at East Ridge and continues to improve year by year. Very impressed by his physical play as a 2022 prospect playing against the top players in the 2020-2021 classes.
