I was able to track down more prospects in the class to see where they currently stand with their recruitment.
Here’s the latest on some of the prospects in the 2020 class:
Samson Ruzhentsev, Mokan Elite 17U: The 6-foot-7 shooting guard went on unofficial visits to Ole Miss and Georgia Tech this week. Ruzhentsev mentioned he’s thinking about take an unofficial visit to Florida soon. Ohio State, Stanford, Seton Hall, Creighton and Texas Tech are currently showing interest. Ruzhentsev has offers from the Rebels of Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kansas State, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
Tyrus Baynham Jr., Bluff City Legends 17U: Baynham Jr. had a workout with Missouri State last week. He mentioned he has workouts setup with Western Kentucky and University of Alabama at Birmingham. All of those schools mentioned plus Missouri are showing interest. As of right now, Baynham Jr.’s only offer is from Tennessee State University.
Joe Cooper: The 6-foot point guard has heard from Buffalo, Tulane and Minnesota. He just recently picked up an offer from Stephen F. Austin. Cooper’s other offers are Ole Miss, Middle Tennessee State, Southern Miss, UT-Martin and Winthrop.
Jaylon Sanders, Tennessee Panthers 17U: The 6-4 combo guard’s recruitment spiked during the first NCAA live period at the On The Radar Hoops event Sweet 16. Sanders picked up his first offer from Canisius. Murray State, Arkansas State, Kent State, Oral Roberts, Lincoln Memorial, South Alabama, Louisiana-Monroe, Coastal Carolina, Florida A&M, East Tennessee State, MTSU, Charleston Southern, Campbell, Morehead State and Marshall all watched Sanders during the first live period.
Johnathan DeJurnett, Team Thad 17U: The 6-7 forward doesn’t have any offers right now, but Campbell and Belmont came to watch DeJurnett during the first live period. Both schools are showing interest along with Elon, Lehigh, Boston College and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
