Run N Slam: Top Illinois Slashers

<p>What prospects from Illinois proved they were the best slashers over the weekend at <strong>Run N Slam</strong>?  These guys won off the bounce with consistency getting in the lane for buckets!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Brandon Weston (Mac Irvin Fire 17U)</strong></p> <p>Weston is such a dynamic athlete in the 2021 class.  One of his strengths is definitely slashing to the rim in both the half court on strong straight line drives and getting out in transition.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Adam Miller (Mac Irvin Fire 17U)</strong></p> <p>Miller is a versatile offensive weapon that has a burst with the ball in his hands getting to the rack.  Powerful and slithery at the same time getting to the rim.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Connor Dillon (Illinois Irish 17U)</strong></p> <p>Dillon is looked at by man as just a shooter, but he is actually a plus athlete with crisp ball handling which helps him win off the bounce.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Connor Heaton (Illinois Irish 17U)</strong></p> <p>Heaton is a tough as nails wing with a strong upper body.  Was at his best over the weekend slashing to the hoop and scoring on back cuts.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Jaehshon Thomas (Young &amp; Reckless 16U 17U)</strong></p> <p>Thomas has a strong body which allows him to finish with consistency at the rim.  Explosive first step off the bounce.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Christopher Burnell (Illinois Stars 17U)</strong></p> <p>Burnell is a bully with the ball in his hands using his physical strength to overpower weaker defenders on the perimeter.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Tye Banks (Meanstreets 15U)</strong></p> <p>Banks is such an effortless scorer that glides past his opponents with ease.  Makes it look so easy!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Jordan Rice (Quad City Elite 16U)</strong></p> <p>Rice is a smaller point guard that uses his quickness, speed, and ball handling to live in the lane for scores on acrobatic layups and runners.</p>
