OLATHE, Kan. — The Jayhawk Invitational continued on Saturday with a host of talented players stepping up and making a name for themselves in pool play.
Here, Prep Hoops takes a look at several players who raised their profile with strong performances.
5 — Devon Barshow, 6’6, G, 2020, Marquette, Arsenal Hoops
A long, slender wing player, Bradshaw showed off an all-around offensive game, scoring in transition, knocking down the outside shot off the catch or the bounce, and got to the bucket off the bounce,
15 — Sam Richardson, 6’5, G/F, 2020, Hancock, Arsenal Hoops
Richardson impressed with his strong inside-out game throughout the weekend. He is a plus athlete who is capable of playing above the rim at both ends of the floor and brings a well-rounded skill set to the floor. He can defend multiple spots and offensively, he handles it well, can score inside or on the perimeter and is exceptional in transition.
20 — Jonathan Thompson, 6’5, F, 2020, Park Hill South, KC Team YOBO
Thompson has good size and athleticism for a wing player and is able to do a variety of things well to help his team. He runs the floor, finishes in transition and can get on the glass or block shots at the defensive end. Offensively he is comfortable on the perimeter and uses his size to see over the defense and make smart, heady passes.
18 — Matthew Harrison, 6’3, G, 2020, Raymore-Peculiar, Team KC Grey
Harrison is a well-rounded guard who showed the ability to do a lot of little things over the weekend for his team. He has good size for a guard, but can also mix it up inside when necessary. He is a good rebounder, defender and handle the ball and helps settle his team.
