With his solid junior season Griggs increased his interest but it is only climbing this spring. Griggs has an uncanny ability to get to the rim and finish as well as play good physical defense and the combination of the two have really helped perk the interest of schools.
Griggs has interest from Anderson University, Depauw University and Wabash College. St. Francis and Taylor University have also reached out to Griggs. He has taken a visit to Anderson University and does not have anymore planned in the future this summer. College coaches are giving Griggs high praise for his work on the court.
“A lot of coaches have said that they like the way I bully people on the court in the sense that I am a physical player without being cheap. They also say they like my ability to score at will taking it to the rim and they like my mid-range jumpshot.
The schools that have reached out to Griggs thus far all have qualities that he is looking for in a future school. Griggs wants a school that is “somewhere within four hours from home and for me somewhere that is a great team fit.” Griggs takes his academics seriously as he also is looking for a good academic school.
Griggs knows that he still must work harder to realize the dream of playing college basketball so this summer he is working hard in the gym at some things that he needs to improve on.
“I have been doing a lot of agility and weight training as well as developing my perimeter game both from a shooting aspect as well as my ball handling,” Griggs said.
