Colorado Class 3A’s Leading Rebounders in Late January Part I

<p>We’re three weeks into 2019 and with a significant sample size in hand, some of the state’s best glass-cleaners have enough numbers to prove they are among the top rebounders in Colorado. With conference play underway, let’s take a look at the leading rebounders in Colorado’s Class 3A.</p> <p><strong>1. Bryson Becker, 6-7, W, Platte Valley, 2019, 12.1 rpg</strong></p> <p>Becker is having one heck of a senior season so far. Through 13 games, he’s not only grabbing 12.1 rebounds but is also scoring 20.8 points a night. On top of that, he’s blocking two shots and averaging over an assist and a steal per game.</p> <p><strong>2. Jonathan Cosme, 6-1, G/F, KIPP Denver Collegiate, 2020, 12.0 rpg</strong></p> <p>This junior’s double-double production has his team off to a 9-3 record and a 6-0 start to the conference schedule. Currently 3A’s 16^th-leading scorer and second overall rebounder, Cosme is solidifying his position as one of the classification’s best all-around players.</p> <p><strong>3. Cordell Baer, 6-3, F, Montezuma-Cortez, 2019, 12.0 rpg</strong></p> <p>A double-double machine, the senior team captain had six already through just nine games played this season and continues to rack up both the points and the rebounds. He’s averaging over 12 in both categories and is also dishing out 2.4 assists per game for the Panthers.</p> <p><strong>4. Elias Williams, 6-3, F, DSST: Green Valley Ranch, 2019, 11.5 rpg</strong></p> <p>This guy is his team’s do-it-all player, for sure. On top of the 11.5 rebounds he’s bringing down every night, Williams is scoring 9.7 points. He also averages 1.8 assists, 2.9 steals and 1.5 blocked shots for the Raptors.</p> <p><strong>5. Dominique Clifford, 6-4, G/F, The Vanguard School, 2020, 11.2 rpg</strong></p> <p>Clifford is obviously on this list for his rebounding prowess, but the junior is also pouring in the points this winter. So far in 2018-19, he’s averaging 20.2 points per game while forming a deadly one-two scoring punch with teammate Seth Fuqua (22.8 ppg). Clifford also shoots the 3-ball well and averages 3.7 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.</p>
