Recruiting Report: Seryee Lewis (2020)

Kenwood 6’7” power forward Seryee Lewis is the top 2020 post in the state of Illinois.  Explosive four man has seen his game evolve in so many ways over the last year.  He has become a much more consistent scorer, rebounder, and rim protector.  Lewis sat down with us recently to break down his recruitment.

“The latest with my recruitment is it is going well.  I have new interest from Illinois and Wisconsin.  I recently went on a visit to Wisconsin to see the campus for their NC State.”

How was that Wisconsin visit?

“I liked everything about Wisconsin.  I had never seen anything like it.  The history behind the program and the players treated me like I was family.  Like if I was on the team.  The game was great.  They won so that made it even better.  They said that they like my skill level and ability to push the ball as well as post up.  Also how athletic I am.  They said if I can keep working on it Wisconsin would be a perfect fit for me.”

Lewis believes the Badgers are close to offering him once their head coach sees him play during the season as they have been talking to him a lot.  What about Illinois?

“I have never been to Illinois or given them thought.  They are a big time program with history.  I will learn more going forward.”

St. Louis and Brown are both making heavy pushes for the four man as well.
