Cliff DeGroot 6’3″ Missouri Hustle (Westminster): One of the top 3-point shooters in the tournament, DeGroot is an excellent catch and shoot performer with deep range. Shoots with great confidence and a short memory. Made four 3-pointers in a victory over the SW ILL Jets.
Destan Williams 5’8″ SW ILL Jets (Pattonville): Small point guard who is highly skilled and plays with a lot of pace. Pushes the ball hard and has the ability to get in the lane and deliver the pass to the open man. Also good at the stop-and-pop mid range jumper. A very good 3-point shooter as well. One of the top PGs in the 2017 class.
Maurice Edwards 6’1″ SW ILL Jets (Alton): A beast of a combo guard who can get to the basket whenever he wanted to. Has the ability take the contact and finish at the rim with no problem. An explosive athlete who can also dunk on an unsuspecting defender. If he develops a consistent jumper, he could be unguardable.
Steve Webb 6’2″ Missouri Hustle (Westminster): A physical wing guard who was at his best when attacking the basket on the dribble. Makes it happen on both ends of the court as he loves to shoot the passing lanes, resulting in many steals and transition buckets. Also an excellent football prospect as well.
Alec Spence 6’5″ SW ILL Jets (MICDS): A jump shooting wing with good size and athletic ability. Spence’s biggest asset is his ability to knock down mid range jumpers. Gets good elevation and a high release, which makes it very difficult to defend. Can also knock down the 3-point shot. Has offers from SEMO and Indiana State.
Sam Orf 6’2″ Missouri Hustle (CBC): Talented wing guard with a versatile offensive game. His ball handling ability enables him to create offense, either getting to the basket or shooting pull up jumpers. Can also shoot the deep ball off the catch. Strong body who is difficult to knock off the ball. Has an offer from SEMO.
Berlin Roberson 5’7″ Retro-Jets (McCluer South-Berkeley): Small guard who can really score the ball in a variety of ways. A quick penetrating guard who has the ability to get in the lane off the dribble. Can also knock down 3-pointers from well beyond the line, which makes him difficult to guard.
Marvin Bateman 6’5″ SW ILL Jets (Althoff): The slender marksman is as good a 3-point shooter as there is in the metro area. Bateman has a quick release and deep shooting range and can make several in a row when he is one his game.
Oliver Stephen 6’4″ SW ILL Jets (Edwardsville): Another dangerous 3-point shooter who made over 50 percent from long distance during the high school season. A textbook shooter with form, release and rotation. Butter. He’s also working on his ability to create offense off the dribble.
Anthony Harris 6’0″ St. Louis Slaughters (McCluer): Solid combo guard who handles the ball well and can get in the lane. Very good player in transition who plays well in a fast-paced game.
Keon Brown 6’2″ Missouri Impact (Hazelwood Central): Smooth offensive player with the ability to score in creative ways. Has some slick change of pass moves to get to the basket and hit jumpers.
