Olsen was a part of a fantastic senior class including Nick Schultz (scored 20 points a game), Tommy Traen, and Joe Larson that helped turn the program around winning 41 games in two seasons.
“It was awesome,” Olson said of the season. “I grew up and played with the same group of guys ever since 6th grade. The thing I will remember most is the community and fan support. At every game we had an amazing crowd.”
Olsen was a first team all league player for the second straight year after picking up his numbers from a strong 13/7 a year ago.
“I got more physical and my post game developed,” Carter said. “My shot also came along. Also I’m still undecided if I want to play in college or not.”
Olsen has had several schools show interest in him in the past dozen months but one is calling the most.
“I’m hearing from mostly Hamline but I’ve been talked to by others which I’ve told I haven’t wanted to go to. Some are still planning on talking with me.”
Olsen is still trying to figure out what he wants to do next year in terms of basketball and school.
“I’ll set visits during spring break,” said Carter. “I’ll decide after spring break.”
