South Dakota 17U (Wk 2): Who To See & Where They’ll Be
Recruiting the South Dakota 2019 talent was easy in week one, everyone was in Sioux Falls. What about week two? Who to see & Where they’ll be breaks down what players need a look and where they are playing.
South Dakota Attack
Name to Watch: Camden Bialas. The 6-foot-8 power forward has the size needed as a scholarship big and his length completely bothers people as a frontcourt position defender. The touch is good as well, Camden needs core strength. A school that takes him and gets that size on him should be rewarded.
Top Available Prospect: Sawyer Schultz. Noah Freidel is the top ranked player in South Dakota but not far behind is Sawyer Schultz. Sawyer is a guard with some rare physical abilities and some pizazz to his game that produces and entertains.
Three More: Noah Freidel, Mitchell Goodbary, Like Ronsiek
Where: Wichita at Mullens High Profile
Pentagon Schoolers
Name to Watch: Trevin Holland. The 6-foot-5 DeSmet power forward prospect has earned some scholarship offers and a lot of curious schools because of consistent production and agility as a four man.
Top Available Prospect: Elijah Kline. The North Dakota 2020 rankings will be released at the end of the month and when they are, Kline will be one of the top couple players. The Mandan power forward is playing up with the Schoolers.
Three More: Justin Hohn, Boden Skunberg, Andrew Bergan
Where: Wichita at Mullens High Profile
BBA Force
Name to Watch: Blair Slaughter. The Harrisburg 6-foot-4 forward scored 16-17 a game in a June event earning the attention of schools watching and several of the schools that heard about the event and went to see Blair last weekend.
Top Available Prospect: Nick Hoyt. The run of the Tigers last March is something that was storybook in terms of how the team was built going from the bottom to the top in a three year growth as a unit. Hoyt was the most consistent numbers wise leading to several post season honors.
Three More: Thomas Hennen, Jacob Hennen, Kyler Meyer
Where: Lawrence, Kansas at the KC Hardwood Classic
Barn Burner Academy
Name to Watch: Jharett Bloomenrader. Football offers are coming in to Jharett left and right. He now has seven of them as a matter of fact. This is a near 4.0 student who is 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds and while the scholarship future looks like it could be football so far, the young man loves to play basketball as well. He was with the SD Crush and this weekend will be with Barn Burner again.
Top Available Prospect: Micah Burke. Another reason Barn Burner is tough up front is Burke, a man that has logged a ton of minutes playing for one of the top programs in South Dakota. At 6-foot-6 Burke is a double-double guy.
Three More: Brady Morgan, Jacob Prouty, Max Reede
Where: Lawrence, Kansas at the KC Hardwood Classic
Sacred Hoops Rama
Name to Watch: Jadice Morrison. A player that has been producing consistently since the first day of his first high school class, Morrison is one of the most known names in South Dakota for his long run of success.
Top Available Prospect: Ale Rama. Rama is a talented scorer that uses his body to get the first space and then quick separation to attack to the play. And Rama can make plays in bunches. Has range, a pull-up, passes well, has shown he can attack ball handlers on the other end. A top prospect.
Three More: Tucker Kraft, Dylan Pourier, Elijah Williams
Where: Lawrence, Kansas at the KC Hardwood Classic
