The 5-foot-11 player has been hearing from Wabash College, two junior colleges in North Iowa and Rock Valley College, a Div. II in Kentucky Wesleyan and an NAIA school in Southwestern.
These schools like the ability Corthen, the No. 70 ranked prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 200, brings at the point to score and his improvement as someone who can run the offense during the past year.
“From last year, beginning of the season, well last year was more all scoring, and I tried to get to be at that point guard level and pass the ball when people are open and become a complete guard while still keeping my jumpshot,” Corthen said.
Corthen hasn’t visited the schools yet and doesn’t have a timetable for making a final decision or where and when he will visit. He plans to make those decisions with the high school decision ending.
When he does decide he will be looking for a program that offers him a chance to get a strong education and play quickly.
“You know, whichever school offers me the best education and whoever is going to let me play, come straight and play and are about the team is what I’m looking for,” Corthen
