He has also taken an unofficial visit to Bradley and been to Hoosier Hysteria. While the conversations with coaches hasn’t always been consistent he said, the growth in the No. 31 prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 100’s game from this high school season will likely help drive the interest this upcoming summer during the AAU season.
“Last time I heard from some coaches they said I need to work on ball handling and shooting and I think I got the shooting part down, but I still need to work on my ball handling,” Brewer said.”
Brewer presents an interesting mix of skills. He excels at crashing the boards and being an athletic wing and he has expanded his range while shooting. This gives him the potential to play anywhere from the two to the even the four if he gets a bit stronger.
While the interest is slowing growing, Brewer doesn’t have a timeline on making a decision. He also said he is open to any program that is willing to talk to him, but to draw the bigger names he hopes for he knows he needs to keep working on the court.
“It’s hard, but I just have to stay focused and keep the motor,” he said. “The motor is the big thing they talk to me about. I coast sometimes, but when I’m in my zone, I play well.”
