Darryl Yarborough was a highly effective perimeter defender at the North CP3 National Middle School Combine, making his presence felt with his ability to contain opposing lead guards and disrupt their offensive rhythm. Yarborough demonstrated a strong understanding of how to defend the point of attack, applying pressure while remaining disciplined in his approach. He made ball-handlers work to initiate their offense, challenging them to make decisions under pressure and limiting their ability to operate comfortably. His defensive instincts and willingness to take on difficult assignments were valuable assets, particularly against guards responsible for creating offense. Yarborough’s ability to consistently make things difficult for opposing playmakers was a major strength of his performance.
