All League 2028s Ready for a Big Junior Year

Who are some sophomores that earned all league honors in some way and are ready for a big junior year? Here are some names!

We kick off today with a player that looks to have some potential that really jumped off the page on video. This is a 6'7, 215 pound big that has become even better with his increased core strength allowing him to control the paint with a number of sophomore season double-doubles. Nearly a dozen of them it sounds like on Strumberger's way to an all league honored Frontier season. Louisburg struggled last year but they have a nice piece in Strumberger to help them improve.

Antonio, who is an athletic 6'2 that played varsity football, basketball and baseball last year, gave his team 11 points a game. Bustillos is really quick with the basketball and can athletically finish with touch in a lot of ways. He was a second team all league player last year and with Mario Davis graduating, Antonio is ready for the go to guy role.

Duncan is an agile 6'3 talent that is strong at about 195 pounds. His eight points, 4.5 rebounds and defensive efforts had him on the floor a lot last year earning all league honors. Cherrydale was a 9-14 team last year but with Duncan and [player_tooltip player_id='3754351' first='Remington' last='John'] returning, expectations are getting higher. Duncan is off to a good junior as he's posted 500 total yards in football so far.

Coomes was an all league player last season in the CNC, this combo guard was a corner three point shooting weapon, and a player capable of handling the ball as well. He is now 6'2, 175 pounds and getting better for the attack making him an even bigger scoring wing. Also plays football and baseball, a very good pitcher.

Another athlete to note come this winter is Baxter Springs point guard [player_tooltip player_id='3787488' first='Cole' last='Parrish']. Parrish was all league in the CNC and he is a player with really good agility, good speed with the ball, and plays bigger than he stands with good lift on the finish/attempt. Big time track and field athlete and a good football player as well leading at quarterback.

Biggs was at times a force for Lyndon last year using his agility and strength to put up good numbers and earn second team all league in the Flint Hills League. Biggs and [player_tooltip player_id='3758818' first='Cason' last='Rhoads'] return next season as the team's best two players from last season so expectations are there for an even better year after going 13-10 last season.
