The High School Spotlight Series is back and we are excited to feature multiple teams throughout the state once again! The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. For today's spotlight, we take a look at the Warsaw Tigers.

Quick Hitters

Went 13-12 last season.

Lost to Northridge in Sectionals.

Head Coach Matt Moore starts his 7th year as head coach. From top to bottom, they have loads of talent, and right there leading them is the duo of [player_tooltip player_id='2622046' first='Sam' last='Lara'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2797649' first='Drew' last='Jones']. Starting with Lara, he is the top returning scorer from last season, bringing back 9.8 points and 3.4 assists per game. Jones may end up being the top player when it is all said and done with his offensive skill set. I am very excited to see what this duo can do at a high level this season.

Potential Breakout Players: Gabe Loane / [player_tooltip player_id='3654214' first='Liam' last='Kitch']

There could be many players who end up breaking out on this team, and two guys I am interested in seeing more of are junior big man Gabe Loane and freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='3654214' first='Liam' last='Kitch']. Loane is a 6'6" two-way threat, while Kitch is one of the best guards in the 2030 class. Tons of upside with both of these guys.

Other Key Roster Members

[player_tooltip player_id='3654214' first='Liam' last='Kitch']

Andrew Shaw

[player_tooltip player_id='3033335' first='Alex' last='Higdon']

[player_tooltip player_id='3762247' first='Emmitt' last='Neely']

[player_tooltip player_id='3755544' first='Brahdee' last='Taylor']

Nash Wiggins

[player_tooltip player_id='3139596' first='Landon' last='Kralis']

Timmy Yeager
