3A Region 1 Key Players

Before the season tip-offs, I wanted to preview every division of every conference in the state. As he enters his senior season, I expect nothing to change, since he proved last year that he can run an offense at a high level. With multiple star players graduating, Keeter is a major candidate to take an offensive jump. With a quick first step, Hensley can get to the rim effectively, where the guard has shown nice touch. Keeter rounds out his game by being a threat from behind the arc. As a junior, the All-State selectee averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds a game for West Fork. With the ball, Cunningham is very shifty and uses a quick first step to get into the second level of the defense. He's not afraid of contact but does utilize a nice floater game when against taller opponents. Watching Cayden this summer, another side of his game was able to flash more. Playing with the Arkansas Kings, sorting opportunities were more limited for every player. He was able to show how truly versatile he is as a player. Whether it's being an off-the-ball wing or a ball-dominant scoring guard, he is able to impact the game positively. Listed at 6'3, he's very quick and utilizes a deep bag of tricks around the rim. Cribb's shooting ability is what makes him different, however. Being a primary ball handler, Ian uses many stepbacks and side steps to elevate over defenders. Throughout his junior season and this summer, he has proven how lethal a scorer he is. Similar to his teammate, Gabriel can score from almost anywhere on the court. With a pretty left-handed shot, Miller uses jab steps to get to the mid-range area. Where he can rise over defenders utilizing step backs or fadeaways. At 6'8, he's got guard speed and handles that make him a very hard player to guard. He's a great cutter who obviously finishes at the rim at a high rate with plenty of dunks and lobs. Boen does not have your normal post skillset; that being said, at his size he's more than capable of playing in the post. Only going into his junior season, matching age with his talent makes Leeds an exciting upcoming prospect. Leeds is lethal on the drive, attacking the basket with reckless abandon. He has a real knack for splitting defenders and uses a nice spin move to create space for himself. He's not just crafty getting to the rim; the shifty guard showcased plenty of euros and reverse layups. From behind the arc, Easton is also a proven shooter. The athletic forward is a strong driver who has shown the vertical to dunk in traffic. More than just a dunker, Floyd has great touch and can finish high-arching shots over taller defenders. Attacking the rim with such intensity has made Floyd a very frequent visitor to the free-throw line. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
