He simply has physical tools that you can't teach in a prospect, listed at 6'5 with some explosive athleticism. Jude has the fluid mobility and handle to weave in and out of defenders on the ball, and one play saw him come driving into the lane for an explosive one handed dunk. I remember seeing him last summer at a 14u event, and since then he's grown about three inches while retaining his agility and skill on the ball. He caught me off guard early in his opening game when he came slashing to the rim for a powerful one handed dunk. Impact defender as he can sit deep in a stance to pressure the ball on the perimeter, and he also provided a shot blocking threat stepping in from the help-side to reject a few lay-up attempts. He simply goes out and competes on both ends, looking to make winning plays in any way he can. After draining a three you won't see him with his hands up celebrating, instead he's simply running back on defense to make sure he's ready for the next play. His change of speed on the ball allowed him to beat defenders off the dribble and get to the rim where he has the touch to finish off the glass from difficult angles. He does a nice job of finding a body to box out as a shot goes up, and attacks the ball off the rim with two hands. Throughout the day Asher provided a floor stretching option with his shooting touch out beyond the arc. Capable of hitting shots off the catch or dribble with a quick release. Really springy/quick-twitch athlete who can create separation for a jumper off of limited dribbles. James is quick moving his feet laterally on the defensive end, and is a bit longer than his 5'11 height suggests which helps him contest shots around the rim. I noticed he did a great job of fighting to get over the top of screens, and had active hands on the ball to shut down any shooting or post-entry pass opportunities. Shortly after checking in, Eli took a defensive rebound, dribble up the left side of the floor, and got into a mid-range pull-up to put two points on the board.
