Class of 2030 NorCal Watch List

Recently PH NorCal released its first class of 2030 prospect Watch List. The list is not a ranking but a gathering of prospects in this class we'll take a closer look at to form a 2030 rankings down the road. Some in this group will be Varsity contributors.    He has size, length, and strength to get points in the paint. He's a moving target across the lane, setting up wide on the block, he wants the ball. He sets solid screens before rolling to the basket. He's shown glimpses of handling himself away from the basket, along the perimeter. He'll get offensive rebounds, found a few cutters to the basket.     From Houston, Texas to NorCal power Sheldon. He'll be a contributor. He's got plenty of tools in the box to sharpen, plays with confidence. His speed, change of direction off the dribble allows him to create shot opportunities for himself and others. He gets to his spots for clean mid-range jumpers, can wiggle his way to the basket, finish in different ways, can drop a 3ptr in rhythm with a dribble. He brings a willingness to defend. We'll see more     He's one of the few Freshman we saw in the Spring. What's notable is his ability to shoot 3-pointers. It's too early to label him a shooter, but he did prove himself to be a player you have to get out to defend at the 3pt line before he gets into his shot motion. He made open 3's, doesn't hesitate with an open look. As an incoming Freshman he's got work to do in other areas to bring balance to his game. He's growing, has good movement without the ball.     A muscular prospect still learning the game. If there's an open path he'll fly in for dunks. He plays mostly along the perimeter for now attacking the baseline, but does have the strength and size to score taking it up strong in traffic.     A long wing/forward type of prospect. He's still growing, moves pretty well, can hit the short jumper in and around the paint. He'll get more opportunities to polish his overall skill set at the small charter school in Richmond, CA. He'll get rebounds, bring it up court. He'll block a few shots. Still raw and leraning.
