2028's Under the Radar in VA

What he is mostly known for is his shooting ability, but what isn't talked about enough is his defensive tenacity and ability to defend the other team's lead guard. He had some tough matchups last year in the Virginia Prep League but did his thing in using his length and quickness to deter opposing guards. Chason will be a key piece for Collegiate this year and a big returner for them as a reliable scoring threat.     [player_tooltip player_id='2960264' first='RJ' last='Mickleberry'] is a 6'3 to 6'4 combo guard who recently transferred to S3 Academy. With a new and revamped roster, RJ will be the focal point of their team as a leader and reliable scoring threat. RJ had a monster summer with VA Havoc on the Under Armour Circuit, and it's easy to see why he is one of the top combo guards in the state in his class. He is an efficient scorer and is a knockdown shooter, but he uses his length to his advantage to score and finish over smaller defenders. I've been impressed with his defensive abilities and the way he uses his length to his advantage to get deflections and also to get offensive and defensive rebounds. RJ has a high motor for a guard and will 100% be a player college coaches will want to take a look at moving forward.     [player_tooltip player_id='2682725' first='Hayden' last='Miller'] is a 6'4 Combo guard who recently transferred to Bishop Ireton from Bishop O'Connell High School. Hayden is a lefty sharpshooter who excels at creating his own shot with the ball in his hands or getting to his spots off the ball. Hayden is a high-level guard who had a strong summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2078817' first='Virginia' last='Elite'] on the Under Armour circuit, and I fully expect him to keep climbing the rankings and to have a monster Junior year. He is a lights-out shooter and is a good defender who continues to improve all-around as a player.     [player_tooltip player_id='3728052' first='Tim' last='Neville'] is a 6'4 wing who recently transferred from Clover Hill to The Steward School and reclassified to the 2028 class. He is a very athletic forward who uses his speed, athleticism, and length to his advantage on both sides of the ball. He scores well in transition and at the rim, and continues to develop a more consistent jumper. He will play a major role for Steward, adding some size and toughness to their roster as they look to make a run in the Tidewater Conference. Tim had a monster summer with Richmond Magic on the New Balance Circuit, and I fully expect him to have a breakout year.
