The "4" position is vanishing in the modern era, but these are the players we have seen with the greatest potential at the 4, though they might get some minutes at the "5" in high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='3281936' first='Malang' last='Nak'] is such a unique athlete that will turn heads as his skill improves over the years. [player_tooltip player_id='2856292' first='Kharlo' last='Dickens'] reclassed down and may eventually "reclass up" into 2028. He and his brother will play for 3-time State Champions Chattanooga Prep in 2026-2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='3360905' first='Rodney' last='McChristian III'] was one of four freshmen to dress for Memphis Business Academy and definitely the most physically mature. Big-time rebounder. Back in the middle of January, Rodney hauled down eight rebounds against RISE along with scoring 20 points. He blocked five shots that game too. Trezevant witnessed him score 10 points and secure 13 rebounds against them. Rodney is a problem in the lane at this very early stage of his development.

Some of the shorter forwards on this list could evolve into wings. We see a lot of young guys who are more comfortable around the basket when young and fan out as they get older and quicker. That is likely what will happen with Blue Slagle and [player_tooltip player_id='3560092' first='Gunner' last='Franks']. [player_tooltip player_id='2823820' first='Ethan' last='Krueger'] is another guy that looks to be a future wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2853249' first='Reece' last='Wallace'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3476272' first='Jeremiah' last='Stevens'] are fun upside guys. Jeremiah is a part of the young talent on Oak Ridge. They have a new coach, and Jeremiah should grow with him. Solid rebounder on both ends. He can hold his space against older guys. Tough player.

[player_tooltip player_id='3541500' first='Caysen' last='Mosley'] saw a lot of winning the last year at Wayne County. They are looking to replace a legendary player, so Cayson and his teammates will have chances to score. Big, strong guy. His mentality shows an uncommon toughness for such a young dual-sport athlete.
