Quick two way guard with a solid handle. Montemayo uses speed and agility to get downhill in a hurry. In the team’s first game of the day he got to the stripe a couple of times after drawing contact from help denders. Impressed overall with the effort he provides in multiple phases. Made numerous hustle plays defensively to go along with multiple saves out of bounds earning his team the right to keep possession. Also showed nice creativity with a pump fake to get the defender to rise and then 1 dribble into his shot from midrange.

Alessandro showed a natural scoring ability this weekend. In his team’s loss to Wisconsin Legends , he still found a way to pour in 22 points for the Sharks.

Alessandro has a strong 3-point game, burying three 3-pointers in that loss to Hoop Dreams. But his game is diverse; with a quick first step when going to the rim for a layup. He also possesses the ability to convert a contested bucket on a fast break.

Montemayor hopes that people notice his ability to attack the rim, as well as the skills to sag back and shoot the ball from deep; or draw a foul and get to the free throw line.
