Travel Team Profile: Sunshine Elite

One of the top independent programs in the state, Sunshine Elite is off to a strong start this spring and boasts a roster loaded with college level talent. Head Coach John Elgani's group is set to compete primarily on the On The Radar Hoops Circuit, where they will have ample opportunity to showcase their depth and versatility. With multiple prospects capable of playing at the next level, Sunshine Elite should be firmly on the radar of college coaches throughout the spring and summer.    Hoffert is a skilled, high IQ scorer who can produce at all three levels. He led Windermere High in both scoring and rebounding this season, averaging 13.6 points and 6.5 boards per game. The junior is an above the rim finisher with good athleticism and brings defensive versatility with his ability to guard multiple positions. With his continued development and production, expect his recruitment to pick up significant momentum this spring.     Another 2027 prospect trending upward, Bynoe continues to ride the momentum of a strong season for Oak Ridge. The junior is comfortable playing both on and off the ball, showcasing his value as a reliable primary ball handler and a high-level perimeter shot maker. He has a strong feel for the game, makes sound decisions, and impacts winning. With his continued growth, Bynoe is positioning himself as one of the top guards in the state's junior class.     Sharing ball-handling duties with Bynoe, McPherson is a quick, athletic, attacking lead guard who consistently puts pressure on the defense and is tough to keep out of the paint. His perimeter shooting continues to improve, adding another dimension to his offensive game. Defensively, he can be a true game changer, capable of picking up full court, disrupting opposing guards, and making it difficult for teams to initiate their offense.     One of the biggest “sleepers” on the roster, Williams is a mobile, athletic forward out of Oak Ridge with plenty of upside. He finishes effectively with either hand in the paint and continues to expand his offensive skill set. With good strength and the ability to run the floor with ease, he also shows touch on midrange jumpers. Defensively, he's a standout, capable of guarding multiple positions, and plays with a high motor while consistently rebounding at both ends.     The junior is a skilled stretch forward who operates primarily facing the basket on the offensive end. A lefty, he's effective in pick and pop situations and can consistently knock down shots from beyond the arc. He brings good positional size and strength, along with the ability to score in the paint when needed. With a strong feel for the game and continued development on the defensive end, he is trending in the right direction as a well rounded frontcourt prospect.
