About Treyton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile player. He’s know every position in n the court and can fill any roll at anytime. Great shooter from all ranges. High % 3-point and free throw shooter. Can also penetrate to the basket. Can read the floor and recognize when defensive and offensive changes are needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

High basketball IQ with great leadership and communication skills. I believe in making the right play vs worrying about my personal stats.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Played with the Lansing Prospectors 5th-9th grade under Marcus Wourman. 10th grade playing with Shoebox Sports Fenton, MI. National Honors Society member. Academic Achievement Award

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Team Captain JV Football 2years Team Captain Varsity Basketball as a sophomore. Volunteer for youth football and basketball camps. Earned honorable mention as a freshman in Michigan CMAC. Earned 2nd team all league in Michigan CMAC.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being the son of a coach and of our varsity high school program I have student section & parents doubting my skills and abilities. They shout things like “nepo baby” and “daddy’s boy” but I’m easily able to use that as fuel to show I’ve earned my position on our team. My peers voted for me as team captain, I get praise from refs and other players and the leadership, team player and skills I posses

What type of college are you looking for?

One where I can grow both academically and in my basketball career.

Made extra commit on drives to make kick outs for assists or saw cutters for scores. Comfortable pushing tempo off D boards and fighting through contact. Overall had solid 2 way activity with length.

Treyton has the unique ability to play both smaller and bigger than his listed height. His ability to guard both bigs and guards makes it difficult to create mismatches against him. On the offensive end, Selbig creates his own looks from all three levels, although he must convert those quality opportunities at a higher rate.
