Saturday, March 7th I watched the 6A Championship game at the Arizona Veteran's Memorial Stadium with Liberty Lions vs Perry Pumas. Liberty started with a huge lead but Perry stormed back and tied it up to send the game into OT. The Lions won the glass and the turnover margin. They ended up winning it in OT 69-65.

Here were the Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2759176' first='Trevin' last='Davis'] Liberty (Pictured)

A bigger, strong wing forward who has one of the purest shooting strokes in the class. He uses his big frame and handle to get downhill and take the contact and score with put backs plus catch threes, including a clutch one late in the game when it mattered. He scored 23 points with 4 rebounds and 2 assists and he led them to the Chip victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591734' first='TJ' last='Harris'] Liberty

A quick on quick scoring point guard. He made a few needle threaders to teammates and his speed with the ball and tight handle gets him to the spots he wants. He will score with deep threes off the catch, pull-ups from mid-range and tough layups with his non dominant left hand. He scored 15 points with 3 rebounds and 5 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2282925' first='Jacob' last='Hunter'] Liberty

A good sized shooting guard will score with post ups in the paint using his stronger frame, mid-range jumpers and tough buckets with either hand. He is very competitive on defense and made many key plays on that side of the ball. He scored 10 points with 7 rebounds 2 assists 1 steal and 1 block.

[player_tooltip player_id='2257790' first='Nicholas' last='Topolosek'] Liberty

A guard who can play on or off the ball. He is a high level shooter with a quicker release and high elevation. He will use the floater game but he will fill it up behind the arc off the catch with immense confidence. He will rebound in his area and scored 15 points with 5 rebounds and 2 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1736172' first='Keegan' last='Colter'] Liberty

A strong shooting guard with good size who is a true two-way player. He is your classic 3 and D type. He makes smart reads to teammates and will hit the three off the catch. He makes it harder to score on him and he finished with 3 points with 5 rebounds 3 assists 1 steal and 1 block.

[player_tooltip player_id='1758925' first='Vincent' last='Busalacchi'] Liberty

A high motoreed wing forward who can play a few positions for the Lions. He gets to the basket to score or will get fouled but he brings a big motor to compete. He rebounds well, collect steals and will throws his body on the line for a loose ball. He scored 3 points with 4 rebounds and 1 steal.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146175' first='LJ' last='Diamond'] Perry

A dynamic scoring point guard made some nice passes in traffic with 5 assists. He will score it all ways with downhill bursts with next level speed, grab a ball off the glass and take it coast to coast, hit the three with range and plays above the rim with ease. He scored 22 points with 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2457665' first='Viktor' last='Babic'] Perry

A bigger wing forward started slow but caught fire in the second half when it mattered. He is very skilled and crafty and has one of the prettier shooting strokes from the three point line. He can change speeds and get to the basket while using a nice handle and footwork. He will also score with offensive rebound put backs and lob catches. He finished with 22 points with 2 rebounds 1 assist and 1 steal.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323611' first='Jerrance' last='Howard'] Perry

A scoring guard can play on or off the ball. He makes smart reads to teammates but he definitely prefers to score it. He has a nice looking three point stroke off the catch and will side step and shoot it. He rebounds well with his frame and scored 13 points with 6 rebounds 3 assists and 1 steal.

[player_tooltip player_id='2693801' first='Dane' last='Montague'] Perry

A massive human being is a load to deal with down low. He controls the glass and will score with dunks and he is very hard to move. He moves fairly well in space and has a lot to work with physically. He only scored 2 points but had 6 rebounds and 1 block.

Liberty started with a huge lead but Perry stormed back and tied it up to send the game into OT. The Lions won the glass and the turnover margin. They ended up winning it in OT 69-65.
