<p>PH NorCal has been in the gym for the NorCal Basketball Play-Offs. On Thursday we were at Willow Glen for the CCS Division II semifinal between #1 Willow Glen and #5 Burlingame. Willow Glen won 57- 45. They'll play in the CCS Division II Championship Saturday. Friday we were at Brave Christian for a NCS Division III match up. #5 Brave Christian defeated #6 College Park in a 3rd place game 64-39 to determine who gets the 3rd spot.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2737165' first='Caiden' last='Morefield']: At 6'2 he plays mostly in the post. Working from the mid and high post. He used body and balanced generating points in the paint. He had a couple up show and go moves from the high post to convert. Later he stepped out to knock down a couple of 3's from the top. He was the games leading scorer 24pts.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='3529940' first='Brayden' last='Gumabo']: He's a speedy point guard with slick handles and quick moves off the dribble. He has a burst on the first dribble getting into the paint for drive and kicks, spotting his shooters for open looks in the corners, and dumping it off. In transition he pushes fast, passes up early. 14pts</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2702684' first='Lucca' last='Maher']: Standing 6'5 he spent a lot of time up top facilitating in half-court sets. He handled ball pressure and double teams bringing the ball up court, passed it up. He pushed hard up court at times, made good use of his upper body, bumping and balancing himself on drives for points in the paint. He'll come across the lane turn, go up strong off two feet. He'll get rebounds and points in the paint. 14pts.</p>

He gets most of his points in and around the post area, posting up on the low block turns and goes strong, plays through the contact going up. He works the high post finding cutters, spotting open shooters. He'll use dribbles, and spin moves, going hard to his left to finish a layup. He's got the body for the bumping and banging in the paint. 9pts, multiple rebounds. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2872357' first='Steve' last='Barnett']: Plays with energy, runs hard up and down the court, gives effort defending bigger players in the post, has the footspeed to defend away from the basket. At 6'4 he's an active rebounder on both ends. Passed from the high post, knows where his shooters are, goes up strong off two in the paint. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2364991' first='Miles' last='Cooper']: He's a slick and quick ball handling point guard that can put the ball in the basket, kind of savvy. He has the handles, and quickness to split defenders with the dribble, use quick dribbles, crossovers, and other ways to get into his mid-range off the dribble. He spots up regularly to knock down 3-pointers. He's a quality point guard that can run a team, averaged 18pts a game.</p>

He has the body and strength to defend in the post. He jumps well, goes after rebounds on both ends of the court, he had a couple of offensive rebounds for putback points, blocked a shot. He set solid screens before rolling to the basket. 9 rebounds.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='3241652' first='JP' last='Oka']: He's a long, lengthy rising Freshman who'll continue to improve his overall game. He has length to finish around the rim, including dunks. At 6'8 he has the footspeed to generate buckets from perimeter to post, sometimes on the dribble, slashing and cutting. He showed a quick jump, with lift on the second effort putback. He gets up the court fast for transition buckets, had multiple dunks. He could be a developing wing. His overall game is still in the development stages. 34pts, 13rebs.</p>
