Howell put together one of the best performances we have seen in the state this season. The junior poured in 50 points to lead the way for the Savages. Howell helped steady things early as Ada raced out to a quick 9-0 lead. In a game in which neither team led by double-digits, each possession seemed so important. Howell was a perfect 14-14 from the free throw line and his second half performance of 33 points included both shot-making and explosive finishes. Greydon hit some 3-pointers from well beyond the arc and was also a blur in transition. His ability to take long rebounds and start the break got himself easy baskets at times in this one. As a passer, he routinely played under control when the defense began to collapse and while his teammates missed some good looks, he still continued to trust others and read the defense. His clutch playmaking was superb, providing a left-handed floater with under 50 seconds left in regulation after Ada took the lead back at 55-53.

Baker provided some solid ball-handling when Howell needed to take a break and rest. He scored 5 points and provided the layup that ended up being the difference in overtime. Ada applied full-court pressure and Clark was able to get behind the defense to extend the lead back to four points with just under seven seconds left. At 6'2", with an ability to shoot from the perimeter as well, look for the senior to be a key component to help Howell in the postseason.

Reynolds led the way for the Cougars with 23 points and four rebounds. The 6'5" junior hit all four of his 3-pointers in the second half and helped to force overtime. Rex was outstanding defensively, his ability to block shots and create steals were huge in this one. At times, his length really bothered Broken Bow as he played passing lanes well. In the final period Reynolds continued to provide an offensive lift, attacking hard closeouts with two nice finishes at the rim. Ada briefly had the lead in the fourth quarter, thanks to yet another aggressive take and two free throw makes from the junior. The Savages seemed to always have an answer though, with Howell playing at an incredible level.

Riley has been playing at a very high level for his squad and was an assist shy of a double-double. Not only was he able to provide 14 points and 9 assists, but he also limited turnovers. As a team, the Cougars only turned the ball over eight times. In a game that features such high-end play and great intensity, this was an impressive feat that they will look to build on in the postseason. Riley complemented Reynolds with impressive shot-making from deep as well. This team has a lot of firepower and with so many contributors, they are very hard to guard. The senior provided his best moments late in the game. Down four with just under 20 seconds remaining in overtime, he went over the top of two players to snag an offensive rebound before scoring inside to cut the lead to just two. However, the Savages kept hitting their free throws.

Morris was active on the glass inside. He provided timely offensive rebounds that created second chance opportunities for his team. The junior showed a variety of moves offensively as well. He was able to utilize both a step through move and an up-and-under to create space and score inside. the Cougars seem to always be under control on offense. The ability of this team to screen and cut provides constant stress to defenses. With Broken Bow utilizing a lot of zone, Morris continued moving and found open space around the free throw line and inside. Grayson finished with 6 points and 5 rebounds.
