Prospect Watch: Keaton Hoeg (2019)
Six-foot guard Keaton Hoeg of Fargo North is a firecracker of a competitor coming off a really strong junior season. Now he’s battling with ECI.
“It was a fun winter season with my teammates, I improved on being a team leader,” Hoeg said. “I averaged 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals a game.”
Hoeg led his team in steals, had 50 deflections, was second on his team in rebounds despite being a six foot guard, and now he has something to prove with the ECI Prospects.
“It’s been great to play with some of the top players in North Dakota,” Keaton said. “We are working to get better each tournament.
“Our number one goal is to finish top eight in the Pentagon League we are in.”
ECI had a tough start but that’s because they were given a week one assignment that included the three best teams in the league. As ECI proved in the Comets Shootout when they made the elite eight, they can compete with most. Along the way Keaton has plans to spend a lot of time in the weight room.
“I would like to improve my vertical and strength this summer.”
Hoeg has also started to receive some texts/emails from a few college coaches in the area.
