While Abington is a guard-oriented team, Stone has shown steady improvement in the frontcourt to warrant being on the recruiting radar moving forward. He contributed seven points to the win on Tuesday night, using a blend of length, fluidity, and compact skill to make an efficient complementary impact. Stone was effective as a cleanup guy inside with quick jumps around the rim to finish despite a lack of strength. He showed a new wrinkle as well while stepping out to convert a smooth catch-and-shoot 3 to go along with an additional pair of clean misses. Stone should be on small-college radars across the region by this time next year, and could be an interesting prep option down the line with the raw tools to earn a scholarship if he’s able to accelerate his physical and skill development.
