All the off-season weight training, competing, etc has likely done a lot for Tucker who seems to be reaching new heights.
“I thought (summer basketball) was great for my game,” Tucker told PHD. “I thought I put more of an overall game together. I really developed better from coming off screens without the ball to get open.
“I also became a better player without the ball in my hands. Just really tweaked some things that needed work and got a lot better and ready to make a run for this upcoming season.”
Sanborn Central brings back just about everything from last year’s team so there are increased expectations.
“I like that we return a lot of guys,” said Tucker. “We return four starters and will have a lot of senior leadership to lean on. We will also be a really deep team seeing eight to nine guys getting some quality minutes.”
The goals that Tucker has aren’t complicated but with so many guys back they are reachable.
“We want to be competitive night in and night out,” Tucker said. “Take one game at a time. At the end of the season hopefully we are standing on top of both conferences and class B basketball.
“We know though we have a lot of work to do and have a tough schedule to do these things but we know they are in reach.”
Tucker is being looked at for college basketball and college football.
“I’m hearing from the University of Sioux Falls and Dakota Wesleyan University. I went on a visit to Sioux Falls last winter. Been doing football ones as well.”
