About Theodore

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a disciplined, high-intensity athlete who competes hard on both ends of the court. As a multi-sport athlete in football and track, I bring power, agility, and toughness to every game and refuse to be outworked.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I pride myself on being a technical, coachable player who is always willing to learn from any resource available. I bring a student-first approach to everything I do and constantly look for ways to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Besides excelling in football, basketball and track & field, I'm member of Forest Park Middle School's (FPMS) Band and Jazz Band programs where I play the Baritone Saxophone. I'm also a member of the FPMS Outdoor Club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I come from a strong athletic lineage: my parents, Scott and Julie (Meyer) Tyrcha, were Division I athletes at Valparaiso University; my uncle, Jeff Meyer, played for John Calipari at UMass; and my cousins, JJ Meyer (6'10") and JT Meyer (6'8"), are currently standouts at Bay Port High School. Competing is in my DNA, and I bring that mindset into every game and practice.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college where I can succeed both academically and athletically. My parents were student-athletes at Valparaiso University, and I hope to follow their path at a school that believes in my potential on and off the field.
