The highest-ranked new addition to the Prep Hoops SC 2026 Rankings is [player_tooltip player_id='2313892' first='Chanze' last='Allen']. I was waiting on adding Allen to the rankings until I got to see him in person, but now, after seeing both his film and the live action, I feel like he is certainly among the best prospects in the state. Chanze can play and defend multiple positions at the high-school level, but most of his positives come with his play around the rim.

Sponaugle is a player who should've been ranked a season ago. He will be a coveted wing by local colleges, standing at 6'5" with decent length on the wing and a knockdown shooting ability. It also helps that Riverside has an elite team, with Ben being a major piece, so he is likely to play lots of basketball and put lots of good things on tape over the next three months.

There are some similarities between Kirkpatrick and Sponagule, but Kent was a little bit deeper on Greenville's bench last season. Now, he is a certain starter and a very complimentary piece to all the athletes on the Red Raiders' roster. Kirkpatrick isn't just a shooter, though; he can pull up in the mid-range and make some highlight-reel plays above the rim as well.

Next up is a player who fits the mold of "under-the-radar" prospect in the state of South Carolina. There are not many who know the name of this 2A Star, but if his opening weekend at the SC Army Guard Invitational was any sign of things to come, he won't stay unknown much longer. Rogers is an athletic wing who protects the rim, controls the glass, and plays through contact at a high level.

Bonner is now "the guy" for the Wildcats after their four leading scorers graduated last spring. JD turned the heads of a few programs after a couple of big showings at the Upward Stars Fall League, earning offers from Bob Jones and Appalachian Bible College. He is likely a 1 at the next level because of his size, but that doesn't mean he can't spot-up for a few possessions and keep the defense honest with efficient shooting.

Justin has the chance to be one of the most impactful transfers of the 2025-26 Season. He has fit in perfectly with his new team so far, showcasing an improved shooting ability, along with size and athleticism that is very difficult to match up with at the 2A level. Richburg is both effective and experienced playing off the ball, so as long as he continues to get stronger, he shouldn't have many issues adjusting to the college level.

Rounding out the list of New 2026s Inside the Top 150 is another ALA Patriot, [player_tooltip player_id='2175530' first='Brice' last='Newton']. Newton first caught my attention at the Glymph Fall League, but he's built on that performance with a good start to the High School Season. Brice does a little bit of everything for his team: playmaking, scoring, and defensive dirty work, and he has the feel of a guy who could major in a minor role to win games at the next level.
