It featured 150 of the best players in the South Carolina High School League competing in skill-development sessions and 5-on-5 games. During the skill-work hour of camp, I posted up on Court 3 for the 1-on-1 attacking downhill drill, and these are my six biggest standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='2631779' first='Jayen' last='Reeves'] (Lancaster) - Topping my list of skill-work standouts from this year's SCBCA Elite Camp is [player_tooltip player_id='2631779' first='Jayen' last='Reeves']. Reeves was my top overall standout from the camp, but the attacking downhill station is where he really dominated. He got a stop nearly every time he was on defense, and matched it with equal efficiency on offense. Jayen's quick first step, active hands, and ability to feel defenders were most impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='2677205' first='Niquan' last='White'] (Lancaster) - Niquan is another Lancaster Bruin who caught my eye in this portion of camp. He did so with explosive athleticism that was crucial on both sides of the ball. White was frequently matched up with taller players, but that vertical ability, as well as good timing and polished footwork, allowed him to negate the opponent's size advantage.

[player_tooltip player_id='2969718' first='Ben' last='Sponaugle'] (Riverside) - One player whom I had highlighted to focus on in North Charleston was Sponaugle. He recently received his first offer from Columbia College and is maybe a name that should be higher up on my radar than he currently is. I did know Ben was an excellent spot-up shooter, but he had a few impressive moments using his length and skill to finish around the rim in this setting.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194590' first='Wyatt' last='Dugger'] (Eastside) - Wyatt was one of the top 2028s in attendance on Sunday, and he backed it up in 1-on-1 drills. He was one of the more well-rounded offensive weapons in this drill, finishing both at the rim and in the mid-range on multiple possessions. Dugger also did so with both hands, while even holding up well on the defensive end despite not having major physical advantages.

[player_tooltip player_id='2982276' first='Isaiah' last='Wright'] (Cross) - Wright is a small but scrappy Guard from 1A Cross High School, who I got to see for the first time at the camp. Isaiah has elite foot speed that is already a weapon for him on the defense and allows him to beat players off the dribble on offense, but once he figures out how to consistently make the right reads and finish at that pace, he will be a very good player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2478755' first='Samajae' last='Govan'] (Dutch Fork) - Rounding out this group is one of the premier 1-on-1 scorers in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='2478755' first='Samajae' last='Govan']. Govan has proved this on several occasions, and the SCBCA Elite Camp is just another in that long line. He is a very creative player with the ball in his hands, capable of getting to many moves to put the ball in the basket. Samajae is also a good defender when engaged, and in this drill, he got frequent stops with good foot speed and well-timed contests.
