High School Spotlight: Princeton Tigers

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is 79-61<strong>&nbsp;</strong>as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Will compete in Class 3A South. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player:&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='1560964' first='Edwin' last='Holmes']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jahari-miller/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top player for the Princeton Tigers will once again be senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1560964' first='Edwin' last='Holmes']. Holmes is coming off a junior season in which he earned Indiana Junior All-Star honors after averaging 16.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.9 steals, and 2.7 blocks per game. He is one of the most skilled forwards in the entire state, showcasing elite playmaking ability, vision, size, versatility, and overall talent on the floor. Princeton is poised to be a strong team once again this season, and Holmes will be their unquestioned leader.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2539928' first='Quintyn' last='Voltz']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/ronald-mosley/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the best in-state transfers that took place over the offseason was sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2539928' first='Quintyn' last='Voltz'], who transferred to Princeton from Decatur Central. With that move, he was the obvious choice to be classified as the breakout player on this Tigers team. He brings in averages of 12.0 points and 2.2 assists from his freshman season and arrives with valuable varsity experience.
