One of the top players in the fall league, Wortham has impressive quick twitch athletic ability and was showing it off in transition. Wortham can finish above the rim with some layups where he was hanging in the air and avoiding rim protectors. I liked that Wortham showed the ability to finish with either hand at the rim, a key skill for an athletic guard that wants to get downhill. Talented athlete who is becoming a tough guard to stop when he's attacking downhill.

It's fun seeing some freshman making impacts in a high school league with players ages ranging from freshman to seniors. Scott shot the ball with confidence on the wing and had a nice baseline mid-range shot in the game I caught. Also getting a couple of interior buckets, Scott had a scoop layup and scored off a steal as well. Nice to see a younger prospect show no fear when playing older competition and scoring the basketball.

Slavens played in the fall league last year and once again had an impressive showing on Sunday. Slavens made simple shots off the catch and moved without the ball to generate open looks. When the defense collapsed Slavens can make the simple pass. After scoring 11 PPG on varsity as a sophomore, I expect even more from Slavens who could form one of the better small school duos with [player_tooltip player_id='2838569' first='Brayden' last='Kidd'] this season.

In fall leagues most players look to score for themselves first and pass to their teammates second. It was the opposite for Chappel on Sunday morning with a handful of unselfish transition assists to players running the court. Making the right basketball play goes a long way and Chappel did that. Defensively, Chappel had active hands and was quick with the ball in his hands.

Another incoming freshman who was making plays against older competition, Badillo was making it rain from long distance on Sunday morning. The lefty was quickly catching and shooting the basketball and was even making shots against hard closeouts. That confidence makes him the perfect player to play next to taller forwards because the defense has to respect him as a shooter.
