About Marcus

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

3 level scorer with little to no holes in my game. Can score at a high level, and I understand the game well. Workhorse effort, and sound defender.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Always something to be better at, and that’s what motivates me. I love working to get better, and strive to become the best version of myself possible. I love the process of improving and investing time into my craft. I am also an extremely competitive person. I’m always willing to do whatever it takes to win and give it everything I got.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Attending a private Catholic all-boys school has shaped me with discipline, accountability, and a commitment to service, whether that’s working at food pantries, helping the homeless at church events, or cleaning up the community. These experiences have taught me resilience, selflessness, and teamwork — qualities I bring to both basketball and life.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Making varsity in basketball as a freshman. At first, I felt intimidated, doubted myself, and questioned whether I really belonged at that level. I struggled with confidence and sometimes held myself back because of fear of making mistakes. I learned to trust my abilities and the work I was putting in, and I pushed through those doubts. By sophomore year, I was All-District and won team’s “MIP”

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a competitive basketball program, strong academics, and a team culture built on discipline, accountability, and character. I want to grow as both a player and a person while contributing to the program’s success.

Another name who was discovered at the Prep Hoops Expo, Nathan makes his debut in our rankings after standing out at our showcase. A prospect who averaged 7.9 points and 3.6 rebounds a game as a sophomore, that rebounding ability is what stood out the most to me when watching him at the Prep Hoops Expo. A player who attacks the basketball, Nathan doesn’t wait for the ball to come to him. Add in the ability to finish with either hand at the rim and Nathan has some skills that immediately catch your eye. Hoping to see him continue to develop a perimeter based game with ball handling and perimeter shooting as well as a spike from 1 assist per game as a sophomore. A potential breakout name in central Ohio, keep your eyes out for Nathan this year.
