Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Jaden is a player who we got to see at our showcase this summer, where he had a few flashes, but what he was able to do in his senior year surprised many. Jaden finished with 22.3 points a game as a bruiser on the block who the team ran the offense through. He was a walking double-double as he finished with 9. He was one of the top scorers in 3A and an Honorable mention for All-State as he led the Black Forest League in scoring and 2nd in rebounds at 10.5 boards a game. Jaden is a hard worker who is high IQ. He isn’t afraid to use his body, and his rebounding abilities gave him and his teammates extra scoring opportunities. He finished up his career showing that he belongs and was my pick for the 3A surprise player of the year.

Hardy-Lopez impressed with his athleticism and relentless motor that never seems to slow down. He’s the type of player who impacts the game in multiple ways. By finishing strong inside, battling on the boards and bringing energy every time he steps on the floor. His ability to finish through contact and attack the rim with purpose gives his team a consistent inside presence, while his rebounding on both ends helps set the tone physically. He has confidence from the perimeter and has proven he can step out and knock down the three, and when he finds his rhythm, he can get on a streak in a hurry. Hardy-Lopez’s blend of toughness, versatility and effort level has made him a riser this fall and a name that’s steadily climbing the rankings

Lopez-Hardy is a versatile scorer who used his size and physicality to leave his mark at the expo. He was clearing space on the boards and rolling hard after setting strong screens, and the ball found him with his work. In 3’s, he had the 3-ball going as he hit a couple of 3-pointers to keep the defense honest. They left him open, and he made them pay, when they closed out, he got inside and finished. In 5-on-5, he displayed soft touch around the basket and showed that he will keep moving and working. He was a reliable interior presence who impacted winning throughout the day and is a player who’s now on our radar.
