Top Prospect Gwaltney Lights Up Nets

Herrin 6'4” small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2832405' first='JJ' last='Gwaltney'] was the top prospect of this group coming into the event and absolutely lit it up from beyond the arc. One of the top shooters in the state's 2028 class the sophomore was absolutely automatic from beyond the arc. The lefty hit spot up threes with such ease, but it was more than that as he banged in pull ups and mixed in an array of turnarounds in the mid-range. High level shot maker more than lived up to his status.

Lehman and Lustenberger Lead Rest of 2028 Group

Carbondale 2028 6'3” small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2832712' first='William' last='Lehman'] put together a really nice evening. Tough and skilled wing that can deck it on straight line takes, spins, and finish with crafty moves around the hoop. His shot making was on full display draining an array from the top of the key along with several other pull ups from beyond the arc. [player_tooltip player_id='2832359' first='Harper' last='Lustenberger'] is a 6'2” guard who has good size and was getting to his bag creating off dribble for tough finishes and showed a nice passing feel. Sound shooter that banged in threes throughout the event. His brother [player_tooltip player_id='2832797' first='Max' last='Lustenberger'] is a smaller lead guard at 5'10” that is a quality shooter that makes sound decisions with the ball in his hands. Carlyle 6'1” wing [player_tooltip player_id='2531990' first='Ethan' last='Peebles'] is a well-built wing that played with toughness finishing around the hoop on spinning layups and strong drives. Cut off the ball and was active defensively. Trico 5'8” point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2871666' first='Kaige' last='Sidener'] is a solid passer that was effective setting up his teammates in drive and kick situations. Had a slick euro step and flashed as a shooter.

Lawrence and Schauf Headline 2029 Prospects

A pair of 2029 guards really put their names on the map! Harlum Schauf is a 5'11” point guard from Carbondale who has a bright future ahead of him. He got to the rim with such ease all evening. Created off the bounce for scores in the paint on euro steps and layups. Nice soft touch finishing game as well. Quality shooter that displayed a nice looking jumper from three and pulling up from two. Such a creative lead guard! [player_tooltip player_id='2797812' first='Noah' last='Lawrence'] is a 5'10” point guard out of Marion. The wiry guard is a smooth ball handler that lived in the paint all evening. He plays with lot of flair winning off the bounce with ease for an array of different layups. Also dropped some sick dimes as a passer showing a nice feel for the game. Should be fun to see these two battle for the next four years! NCOE 5'8” guard [player_tooltip player_id='2865704' first='Jaden' last='Healy'] proved to be a quality passer that can knock down a shot on occasion. Salem 6'0” shooting guard Owen Tennyson has some projectability with his frame to continue to grow with a lanky build and showcasing solid athleticism throughout the night. Trai Murray is a 6'2” forward out of Carterville who ran the floor and got on the offensive glass.
