Wood, a senior guard out of Rutland High School, is a true floor general that does a great job of getting his team organized in the half-court and of creating easy scoring opportunities for himself and others. At 6’0″, he has good size for a lead guard and plays with poise with the ball in his hands. He does a nice job of getting downhill off the bounce, can score in the mid-range in isolation situations, and has the ability to turn the corner and get to the rim as a finisher out of ball screens. When he gets off the ball, he does a nice job of moving off of drives and is a consistent threat from behind the arc in catch and shoot situations. He elevates nicely into his shot, which allows him to get it off in most instances and against most defenders.
