Freshman ID Camp All-Camp Rosters

The Freshman ID Camp served as a first glimpse into high school competition for many of our players, and what a promising start it was. This group is special: loaded with talent, high ceilings, and the potential to shape programs across Louisiana for the next four years. From what we've seen, they're ready to lead the charge and make a lasting impact.   Let's kick things off by highlighting our First Team selections and announcing our Freshman MVP.    Torry Beaulieu will be a name to watch in the coming years. The young freshman possesses poise beyond his years and a pure jumper. He sees the game different than most and is clearly a special player. His talent is not in his size, but it is in the obvious hard work that he has put in up to this point. On top of all that, he is incredibly efficient. He does not need a lot of shots to score. After already picking up an offer from The University Of New Orleans, his trajectory is for next level production.     D'Maurion Abbot is a throwback style ball player that blends a black top ball playing style of breaking down defenders and getting to the goal with the new game of pace and space. His performance at the camp was an eye opener to folks watching him for the first time.   He is a gamer and an easy first team pick for the ID Camp. In this class of savvy guards, he will always be in the conversation. The kid is just good, and he is fun to watch. In a game that is plagued with analytics, he is a reason to just sit down and enjoy watching a creative player with style.     Andre Bright is another electric guard in the class of 2029 and he pretty much has the game figured out. His skill level is clear. He can score at three levels and is comfortable on the court. He looks like a ball player, and he is a Varsity player right now.   Bright's game is grounded in skill, but he also looks like the athleticism is right around the corner. He showed quick bursts of speed when necessary and uses it to get to his spots. He can play downhill, facilitate and he has a nice mid-range game. He is a definite box checker.     [player_tooltip player_id='2935829' first='Allen' last='Shaw V'] is a scorer. In one game I watched him score on four straight possessions and every time in a different way from the baseline. He is a compact guard with a strong frame and shoots a nice three ball.   Shaw thrives on contact and has the muscle to absorb it. He is a bully that also has a finesse to his game. He also brings that energy on both sides of the ball. He will give you a bump one on possession, and the next flash a spin move and finish at the rim. We can call him Mr. How Do You Want it because he is versatile and unpredictable with the ball.     [player_tooltip player_id='2919715' first='Phanuel' last='Greer Jr.'] is a local favorite that will surely be an impact player as a freshman in High School. He is skilled beyond his years and has already shown a high basketball IQ. He is another player that has an immeasurable upside and obvious work ethic. He can handle the ball and shoot at the same clip which makes him dangerous coupled with his Varsity size. Look for him over the next four years to be an impact player for Shaw.       I met [player_tooltip player_id='2257910' first='Landon' last='Tinsley'] and immediately told him he looks even bigger in person. He's got a Varsity-ready frame and seems destined to be every coach's dream. He plays with his head up, always signaling a willingness to facilitate and make smart decisions. He's not afraid to step out and guard smaller, quicker players, showing versatility on defense.   His three-point shot is developing, and he's relentless on the boards—cleaning up everything that comes off the rim. He's a strong finisher but makes and misses don't define his game. This kid is a workhorse, poised to lead Anacoco with grit and determination. Whether or not he puts up big numbers, his impact lives between the stats. He truly does it all, and that is why he is our Freshman ID Showcase MVP.    Be on the lookout for the Freshman Second Team and Sophomore First and Second Team players in the coming days.
