Burley’s Jace Whiting Is Prep Hoops Idaho’s Player Of The Week (1/22-1/29)
Prep Hoops Idaho is proud to continue our Player of the Week award for the 2017-2018 prep hoops season. Each Player of the Week candidate below has put up impressive stats during the past week in addition to being an integral member for their respective team.
Each week we highlight those who have stood out in what will be a season long tradition spotlighting the top producing prospects in the state of Idaho.
As the regular season continues to wind down and play intensifies across the state, the list of players below stepped up their game this past week earning big time wins in the process. A couple of new names appeared as well as some of the state’s very best. However, it was Jace Whiting, a 2020 guard for the Burley Bobcats who took home our POTW honors for his play which helped propel his team to two wins over Canyon Ridge and Rigby. Whiting’s play helped Burley extend their win streak to 8 games now, as they make their way to the end of regular season play.
On the week, Whiting averaged 19.5 points, he also added 2 steals in the 77-61 win past Canyon Ridge and hauled in 4 rebounds while dishing out 3 assists in his team’s 62-57 win over Rigby. Congratulations to Jace Whiting, our Prep Hoops Idaho Player of the Week (1/22-1/29)!
