This is the 3rd version of these player rankings for the Class of 2027, which have previously been featured on the Nothing But Net Magazine website. I have updated this list to include the Spring and Summer club sessions, and the Scholastic Live Periods of June. I have expanded this list from 40 to 55 players from around the Central Section. This list of players was compiled using my own evaluations, along with feedback from knowledgeable media, coaches, and other relevant basketball personnel from the Section, to make up the top 55 rising junior prospects for this updated round of player rankings for the 2027 Class. However, the order of players on this list is my own. I will update these rankings by the end of the calendar year and expand the number of players if needed. This list takes into consideration two key factors in determining where players are ranked, and will be the same criteria used each time this list is updated. The criteria for these rankings are as follows: current skill level and production on the court, as well as future projection at the collegiate level. Below is the next 10 players from the 2027 graduation class, #11-#30, and will be followed by players ranked #21 through #30. In this article, you will find the following information: current rank, their previous rank in parentheses, the player's name, height, player position, and current school attending. We begin this updated list with one of the top lead guards in the rising junior class, Sier Harbin.

11 (13) Sier Harbin |6'2| PG (Central East)

Harbin moves up two spots in this updated list of player rankings and lands at #11. The rising junior guard was a key piece for the Grizzlies (now the Bengals) in the D2 Section title game, and was the team's third leading scorer last season, with averages of 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals per game. Harbin looked good in June with Central East, as he has become one of the team's primary scorers, along with rising senior Stanley Makely, and will be relied upon to run the offense and take up the perimeter defense that will be missed from recent graduate Gerald Perry. Harbin has a strong handle on the ball, has the court vision to make plays in the half court setting or to make reads up the court in transition, and plays solid on-ball defense with active hands to create turnovers and transition opportunities. Harbin has the moves to create separation from his defender, makes great use of the hesitation and crossover dribble to create space, and gets good lift on the jumper, from the mid-range to the 3-point line. Harbin has touch on the floater, is a creative finisher at the basket, and moves well off the ball to get open looks off the catch. Harbin should put up big numbers this year and will be relied upon to be one of the team leaders under the new coaching staff at Central East.

12 (11) Spencer Kubit |6'1| SG (Clovis West)

Kubit comes in at #12 and moves down one spot from this previous list of player rankings. Kubit had a solid sophomore season for the Golden Eagles and averaged 7 points a game, as Clovis West was led by Fresno State Freshman DJ Stickman and rising senior Jace Kellogg. Kubit has been one of the top 3-point shooters in the Section since his freshman year, and he has added to his offensive arsenal to be prepared to up his scoring numbers this coming season. Kubit has solid handles, makes good use of the toss-cross and crossover moves to create his own shots off the dribble, moves fluidly off the ball to get open looks off the catch, and has limitless range on the 3-ball. Kubit has a smooth stop on a dime mid-range jumper, is crafty on finishes around the basket, and has the court vision to find open players off the dribble drive. Kubit is a solid on-ball defender and has a good eye to jump passing lanes and create turnovers. He will be relied upon to space the floor and open up the paint for his teammates to attack the holes in the defense.

13 (22) Eddie Ramey III |6'1| PG (South Bakersfield)

Making his debut in the top 20 and coming in at #13 is the lead guard for the Spartans, Eddie Ramey III. Ramey orchestrated the offense this past season for the co-SYML Champs, and put up good numbers throughout the year, with averages of 10 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game. Ramey showed throughout the month of June with South Bakersfield, and in July with Team Rampage 17s on the Prelude 32 Circuit that he makes quality decisions running the offense and is a lockdown on-ball defender. Ramey has great footwork and lateral movement, along with the active hands to stay in front of the opponent's primary ball handler, and is quick to poke the ball out and get into the open court. Ramey has great court vision, keeps the ball on a string to survey the floor, and makes nice reads in tight windows. Ramey makes great use of the hesitation and the hard-pound dribble into the crossover, which allows him to create space from his defender, gets into the paint routinely, and is a creative scorer around the basket, with touch on the floater. He will be tasked with running the show, alongside rising senior Cliff Willis, as the stakes are high for South Bakersfield this coming season with not just league title expectations, but also D3 Section title hopes.

14 (12) Jahlil Montgomery |6'3| WF (Clovis North)

Moving down a few spots and coming in at #14 is the athletic and physical wing/slasher Jahlil Montgomery. Montgomery was a part of the core for the Broncos last season, and has made progress in his game to be relied upon to score and contribute on both ends this coming season. I did not see Montgomery outside of play in the month of June with Clovis North, but that was enough to see the progress in his ability to score the ball efficiently. He has a long wingspan, active hands, and elite lateral speed to be a lock-up on-ball defender. He has the strength and build to effectively switch on to bigger players in the paint and hold his own, and is a great positional rebounder. Montgomery can push the ball off the glass, has enough handle to create from the perimeter, gets downhill with the ability to absorb and finish through contact, and can space the floor with the 3-ball. Montgomery is a jack of all trades on the court and does a great job of finding open spots off the ball with good hands and touch on finishes around the basket.

15 (15) Lawrence Moore |6'4| WG (Clovis West)

Moore holds steady at #15 in this round of player rankings for this class, and had a successful Spring and Summer with Team Prodigy 16s in the N XTPRO Circuit. Moore was a core part of the roster for the Golden Eagles last season, but saw limited play in the month of June. He will be heavily relied upon to be a core contributor on both ends of the court for Clovis West this coming season, given the youth of the roster outside of rising seniors Jace Kellogg and Myron Pondexter-Johnson, and rising junior Spencer Kubit. Moore has good length and height to defend the 1 through 3 positions effectively, active hands to deflect passes and jump passing lanes, the wingspan to alter shots on the perimeter, and can lock-up on the ball to disrupt opponent's dribbling and generate steals. Offensively, Moore has good handles, makes good use of the crossover to create off the dribble, the moves to get space from his defender, has good lift and length to rise up and shoot over most defenders, from the mid-range to the 3-point line, and moves well off the ball to get open looks around the basket or from the perimeter. Moore has the tools to be a top prospect in this class, and I expect that he will make big strides this season for the Golden Eagles.

16 (18) Pamir Olivier |5'11| PG (Hoover)

Olivier jumps up two spots in this updated list of player rankings and comes in at #16. Olivier led the Patriots in scoring this past season at 12 points per game and was the floor general for Hoover, which had a tough season playing up in the CMAC League 1, with Section D1 powers San Joaquin Memorial and Bullard. Olivier keeps the ball on a string to survey the floor, has a good burst of speed off the dribble to get by his initial defender, keeps his head on a swivel to find open teammates off the dribble drive, and is a crafty finisher around the basket. Olivier makes good use of the crossover, double cross, and between cross to get space from his defender, has great body control to take contact and still connect on the mid-range jumper, and moves well off the ball to get open looks off the catch, with accuracy on the 3-ball. Olivier is a solid on-ball defender and makes life tough for opposing ball handlers. He will likely be the Patriots leading scorer again this coming season, or at least one of the top two scores, as senior Keon Hill will also be one of the top scorers.

17 (17) Bryce Hanson |5'10| CG (Liberty)

Holding steady at #17 is the multiple sport athlete and crafty lead guard Bryce Hanson, at #17. Hanson had a solid sophomore season for the Patriots, as he would lead the team in scoring with 13 points per game, along with 3 rebounds. 2.5 assists, and 3 steals per game. Hanson looked good over the month of June with the Patriots under the new coaching staff and will be a major factor in what Liberty does this coming season. Hanson has a strong handle on the ball, makes great use of the hesitation, the crossover, and the in-and-out dribble to create space from his defender, a quick burst of speed off the dribble to get into the paint, and the strength to score around the basket through contact with touch on the floater over bigs in the paint. Hanson has the bounce to get good lift on the jumper, with a deadly stop and pop middy, as well as the ability to spread the court with the 3-ball, off the bounce or the catch. Defensively, Hanson is a ball-hawk on perimeter players, strong hands to rip the ball from his opponent, great lateral quickness and timing to jump passing lanes, and the court vision to make plays in the open court or the half-court setting off the dribble drive.

18 (19) [player_tooltip player_id='2932197' first='Jaxson' last='Silverstrom'] |6'1| WG (San Joaquin Memorial)

Silverstrom moves up one spot into the #18 spot, and had a strong showing in June with the Panthers. Silverstrom is a jack of all trades on both ends of the court, is a great positional rebounder, wreaks havoc on opposing perimeter players by getting into their dribbling space, the lateral footspeed to stay in front of his opponent, and frustrates even the best of the players he defends, as he gives them no room to breath and generates turnovers that lead to transition buckets. Silverstrom moves fluid off the ball for open looks off the catch, is effective with the 3-ball, and has the moves to get by his defender and into the paint, where he can score the ball or make plays to open teammates. Silverstrom is a great athlete with a great motor, and he will be relied upon to do multiple things for the Panthers this coming season.

19 (NR) James Galpin |6'4| WF (Immanuel)

Galpin makes his debut on this list of rising junior player rankings and comes in at #19. Galpin had a strong sophomore season, as he would be the second leading scorer for the Eagles with 10 points per game, to go along with 5 rebounds a game. Galpin played with What Wins 17s over the Spring and Summer, and put up solid numbers and showed growth in his overall game. Galpin crashes the boards, is an underrated rim protector with the ability to close out and alter perimeter shots, and has great timing on the offensive glass, which allows for second chance points around the basket. Galpin has enough handle to put the ball on the deck and attack from the mid-post, moves fluidly off the ball to find the openings in the dunker spot for lay-ups and dunks, and can spread the floor with the 3-ball off the catch. Galpin will be relied upon to be a key contributor scoring the ball, as well as defend the paint for Immanuel this coming season.

20 (NR) Beau Crew |6'5| WF (San Luis Obispo)

Rounding out the top 20 and making his debut in these updated player rankings is San Luis Obispo's Beau Crew. Crew is a player that I have not seen live, but will have that opportunity in the upcoming Junior/Senior Showcase held at Bakersfield High School, but from what I have seen on film, he is a player that could break into the top 10 by the time this list is updated by the end of the calendar year. Crew was a core piece for the Tigers last season, and will look to up his overall statistics this coming season, as San Luis looks to compete for a Central Coast Mountain title. Crew has good handles, makes nice use of the crossover dribble to create space from his defender, is effective with the 3-ball off the dribble or the catch, makes great use of the spin move on the drive to evade his defender, with use of the Euro-step move or the up and under to score around the basket. Crew has the size to score over smaller players, and the moves to pull bigger defenders with the moves to get past his opponent and score the ball from the perimeter or at the basket. Big junior season on deck for the rising junior.
