2027 Spring and Summer Watch List and Newcomers

PH NorCal spends the Spring, and Summer evaluating high school prospects from NorCal. We're always looking for new, up and coming players who play well while we're watching at various events. Section 7, Cali-Live during the high school viewing period, and other events that take place. Here are some in the class of 2027 who caught our attention with their play on the court. Newcomers, Watch List, and risers.    He's an improving prospect. Standing 6'4 he'll work for offensive rebounds, he'll find a body to boxout. He sets up along the perimeter shot ready, he uses screens to free himself up for 3's. He can hit corner 3's. He's a ball mover, makes sharp cuts to the basket. He'll finish around the rim, plays off two feet. Starting, or coming off the bench he'll be a contributor on this team.     He's a newcomer with a solid body, has decent handles to drive it hard into the paint. He handles contact to finish around the basket. He has some quickness, along with foot speed, on the defensive side of the ball. He reacts quickly, doesn't give up uncontested layups. He defends with energy.      A long wing forward type prospect. He has active feet, and lateral movement working to defend on the perimeter. He'll get rebounds, will push it up on occasion. He roams the perimeter, moving, passing, and making hard cuts to the basket. His length allows him to get some post work inside, he can be a target, takes it up strong, has good passing. Has 3-point range. Active, has good upside.     Simmons played his way off the Watch List. He's a long wiry type prospect. He's a slasher and a cutter with good hands to receive, and finish around the rim. He attacks the baseline might throw one down with his sneaky hops. He showed he can get to the basket from the perimeter with his dribble. At 6'2 he helps rebound, can push it. He's lengthy with good foot speed, and activity to defend out on the perimeter. We'll see more, his bests days are ahead.     He's a good defender, has good movement. He positions himself well to help, and get out on shooters. He has strength, and leverage, defending, and boxing out bigger players. At 6'3 he's a good rebounding guard. Makes hard cuts to finish around the basket. He hustles to fill lanes in transition, goes hard to the basket taking the hits.     A bit undersized but works well in and around the post area. He has good touch around the rim, shows patience, finds ways to get his shot off. Pump fake, plays well off two feet. He works from the high, mid, and low post areas, he's a ball mover. He can work the baseline, hit the short corner jumper. He'll help rebound, boxout, work hard to defend bigger players in the post area.     A quality ball handler who runs the point. He handles ball pressure, head up sees the court. He sets the offense in half court not too bothered by ball pressure. He uses leverage and strength to attack defenders off the dribble, he'll dish, play through contact and pull-up in the paint. He brings leverage, strength and foot speed to apply ball pressure. He can be disruptive on the defensive side of the ball.     A long wing forward, who can play outside/in. He sets up along the perimeter, shot ready, has 3-point range. He moves with good passing. He uses screens before heading to the basket for a pass to finish around the rim. He's active around the basket on both ends, going for rebounds, and defending other bigs.
