He’s a combo guard with lengthy arms, and footspeed to defend in full court, and out on the perimeter, helps trap too. His best days are ahead, right now he’s doing a little bit of everything. He’s got good hops to go get lobs, and rebound at 6’2. He plays mostly off ball right now, but shows he can get to the basket using his dribble, and speed.

Simmons is a lengthy and wiry wing/guard that plays with good energy and impacts the game around the basket. Simmons uses the crossover to get by his defender with a good burst of speed, looks to get into the paint, has the body control to take contact down the lane and score at the basket, and threw down an impressive dunk off the pick and roll lob action. Simmons is solid on the boards, gets the ball out to his primary guards, and runs the floor well to get ahead of the defense for easy catch and score opportunities in transition. 

Simmons played his way off the Watch List. He’s a long wiry type prospect. He’s a slasher and a cutter with good hands to receive, and finish around the rim. He attacks the baseline might throw one down with his sneaky hops. He showed he can get to the basket from the perimeter with his dribble. At 6’2 he helps rebound, can push it. He’s lengthy with good foot speed, and activity to defend out on the perimeter. We’ll see more, his bests days are ahead.
